Q7: I haave a question for Gordon: "When can I quit?"
I can still hear Gordon tell new youth majors, "If you've been callled to work with youth dont use it as a stepping stone. But, he never gave a time line. You know, Methuseleh lived only 883 years more than I have and I'm wondering when is too old?
While I claim to be an "at home mom" while my children were growing up I did add a few places of employment, all sandwiched in with working with youth for over 50 years; such as secretary at a savings and loan , Meteorologist, civilian in the air force, 12 years as Camp Director for Blind Campers, Secretry to a Genealogist, Bridal Shop, Dean of Girls, 10 years as 4-H Leader, 12 years as Camp Fire Girls Leader.
Maybe there is no time line. Hang in there Gordon -- you have many years to catch up with me and the kids need you.
You were a very special influence in my children's lives.
